Our dedicated team is always here for your pets!
Vets By The Bay has been an integral part of our local community since 2014. In that time, we’ve helped thousands of our clients’ cats & dogs, rabbits & guinea pigs, birds, and even a few snakes. Being so strongly integrated with our local community is important to us and our clients. Our customers know by experience that they can rely on us for sound advice and treatment options and that their pet is in the very best hands with our team.
Meet the Team

Practice Owner
Dr Ashleigh graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2012. She worked at Wellington Point Veterinary Surgery until 2014 – when she purchased and renamed it Vets By The Bay. Dr Ashleigh enjoys practicing general veterinary medicine and surgery with a particular interest in exotic pets.

Associate Veterinarian
Dr Brittainy also graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2012. She has undertaken multiple internships since graduating – both here in Australia and overseas. She has a particular interest in cardiology and internal medicine and enjoys helping senior pets through the golden years with a focus on quality of life and pain management. In her spare time, she chases around after her two young children, husband and the menagerie – including 3 birds, several ornamental fish tanks and a senior dog called Confetti.

Senior Veterinary Nurse
Kylee has been working with Vets By The Bay since 2017. She has been in the veterinary industry for over 20 years! Kylee is full of knowledge and is very efficient in keeping the clinic organised. She loves good music and going camping with her husband and loves her crossfit, exercise and being outdoors. She has 2 beautiful cats at home and an English Cocker Spaniel, Bobbie who regularly patrols the clinic.

Cert IV Veterinary Nurse
Jada has been part of the Vets by the bay team since 2021. You’ll usually find her out the back with Dr Ash, assisting with surgical procedures and carefully monitoring your pet’s anaesthetic. At home, she shares her time with Eddie, her Kelpie x Border Collie and Sophie the Russian blue, who she adopted from the clinic. Jada enjoys anything outdoors – if she’s not camping or at the beach, she’s probably at the gym or spending time with her partner and Eddie.

Veterinary Nurse
Maggie joined Vets by the Bay in 2017 and quickly found her passion in veterinary nursing. Prior to this, she worked as an Enrolled Nurse with Queensland Health, where she built strong skills in patient care and support. Her love of animals inspired a career change into the veterinary field. Maggie has a beautiful rescue Staffy, Zeus and two cats – Ginge and Meeka who were both rescued through the clinic. Outside of work, Maggie enjoys spending quality time with her family.
